Private Lessons

Ball for Life, Inc. has helped individuals at all levels improve their game through individual and small group training sessions. We will work closely with each player, parent, and coach to develop and employ training programs that provide solid results. Players can work alone, with siblings, or with friends. Ball handling, shooting, defensive and offensive footwork, passing, and rebounding are some of the elements of focus during these sessions. Analysis of player video is also available. Sessions last for one hour and will be performed at communally fitting times and locations.

Player Development Clinics

The Player Development Clinics group players by ability based on a variety of measurable skill sets. Players that reach a defined skill level or complete a skills challenge advance to the next level. Each class has a color name and each player is given a color-coded jersey to wear to their weekly session. The program is tailored for the skill level of each class color. There are several levels in the program, all with progressive skill challenges involving footwork, conditioning, basketball IQ, and basketball development. Players must practice and ultimately complete these challenges before graduating to the next level.

Most youth basketball programs group players by age or grade, yet age is not always associated to skill level. Often times we see a wide variance in abilities amongst kids in any age group. Recognizing this difference our Player Development Program is to coach players based on ability rather than age. The Player Development Program creates a quality learning environment where players’ skill levels are equal.

After-School Programs

This is a weekday after-school basketball program for aspiring young players. The one hour instructional sessions combine fundamental skills, organized team competition, and an enjoyable and educational after school athletic event. Additional time can be used for SAT/ACT Prep.

Players benefit by improving their individual skills including passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while learning how to work within the structure of a team. Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to join.

It also provides school children with a structured after-school program at which they can learn, socialize, and most importantly, have fun while developing positive attitude and improving skills. Parents and teachers often express concerns that inactive after school hours provide too many negative temptations for their children. With this program, student-athletes also have the time to use numerous on and off campus resources to complete their academic work weekly during study hall and tutorial sessions for weak areas. Using athletics as the vehicle, this plan provides children with an opportunity to improve their overall physical fitness, improve academia, develop sportsmanship and athletic integrity, and gain an understanding of the game.
